Defending Young Adult Literature (A response to Meghan Cox Groudon's recent essays)

Young Adult literature has recently found itself under scrutiny. This week, instead of reviewing another book, I'd like to take some time to give my two cents about the whole debate.

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Howl's Moving Castle is both a book, and a well known Miyazaki film. I'm honestly not sure which one is more popular. I've absolutely loved this movie since the first time I saw it, and finally I got to read the book, when a friend gave it to me for my birthday this past year.
